Card Drawing July 5, 2020

Good day, soul friends! Black Lives Matter!

Happy July! Hope your week was magical. The Full Moon Eclipse in Capricorn was interesting and also a reminder of how to make time for seld-care in all of this. Hoping you are all well and taking care of yourselves.

Today's guidance comes from the Mythic Oracle deck by Carissa Mellado.

Which card(s) do you feel drawn to today?

Left - 1, Middle - 2, or Right - 3...

Focus on the image and chose which cards you feel drawn to before scrolling down.

.........

Did you choose your card, yet?

........

almost there!

If you chose Card 1:

Hera - Duty

Hera is the queen of the gods, and also the wife of Zeus. She is the goddess of marriage, childbirth, power, and duty.

Hera is here to remind us of the realm of duty, but the duty is question is the one toward ourselves and our own personal honor code, as opposed to duty for the sake of status. When you act out of obligation to others, rather than obligations to your inner self, you begin to lose life force. You've become disconnected from yourself and use your senses to discern what action is best in the eyes of the world, rather than doing what you know in your heart to be right. If you give your power, energy, and personal truth away, believing you are helping others, you are really only pursuing status or acceptance for yourself. This can make you angry and resentful. Every healthy person needs a personal honor code, and the courage to stay true to that code is the key to a healthy life. This is a time for you to check in on your own personal honor code. Are you violating it in any way? Have you disregarded it in order to put the needs of others before your own? This is a time for being honest with yourself. Stand strong in all that you believe.

If you picked Card 2:

Hephaestus - Work

This is a signal that something wonderful will happen when you do the work you love the most. Hephaestus is a craftsman who imbues his work with love, and this is a creative time for you, so focus on crafting and creating true wonders in your life. This is not necessarily related to just schoolwork, but also the activities, projects, and passions that you love and choose to put your energy into.

Now is the time to pay special attention to the inspiration you are receiving, for crafting takes a special kind of focus that requires you to be sensitive to the needs of the creation. If you understand that the creation has its own consciousness, then you must be willing to craft in service to the creation's needs rather than your own, allowing your work to be filled with magic, life, and wonder.

You may need to put in a lot of hard work, but you will feel passion for and devotion to what you do. This is a magical time of crafting and building. Soon you will need to be a warrior for your work, as you take it boldly into the world.

If you selected Card 3:

Cronus - Cycles

He is the god of harvest in vegetation and carries a sickle. He represents Cycles, although he was a great king, and the. Of his Reign was known as a golden age, it was his fear of cycles and change that led to his eventual demise. Nature is filled with cycles, including the cycles that exist within our own lives. All things change, and when we embrace and flow with these changes, they enrich both our lives and our experience of life. It can be frightening, but new life is only possible once we accept change. When we resist the natural cycles of change, we become tyrannical, clinging to the old order. This is a time for you to review the cycles in your life. Have you become stuck? Are you trying to hold on to things you should let go of? Are you afraid of moving on to the next phase of your life? It may be time to stop, feel the fear, and move forward anyway. Open your arms to new life and possibilities that await you, and move forward.

Thank you for participating in my card drawing for today. I hope that you enjoyed it! Did the card(s) you felt drawn to give you some guidance to think about?

Don't forget to check back next week for another card drawing!
