Card Drawing June 17, 2019
Good day, soul friends! Hoping your week has gone smoothly.
Took a break yesterday and decided to go catch a movie with my family to celebrate Father's Day, so y'all get these today. It is important to take breaks and take care of yourself - in all aspects. The Full Moon in Sag is showing out and the energy feels pivotal and intense. I am shocked at how quickly this month has gone by and that we are almost done with June. I am still in organizing/cleansing mode and hoping to get everything done as soon as possible. This year has been a challenge in the best way and I am learning so much about myself and what needs to be done in order to bring in the type of life I really desire.
Today's guidance comes from the Animal Kin Oracle by Sarah Wilder and the Illustrated Herbriary Oracle by Maia Toll.

If you selected the set of Cards 1:
Quaking Aspen - We Are One Aspen always knows she's part of something greater than herself, a sense we humans often lack. Take a few moments to connect with the comforting awareness that everything is connected. Stand with your eyes closed and breathe gently. When you feel your shoulder's relax and your breath come easily, begin to imagine your feet as roots gently pushing into the earth (it doesn't matter if the ground is three floors away; your energetic roots know how to find dirt!). As you sink down, picture the feet of others near you also burrowing into the earth, feet turning to roots and runners. Embrace the crisscross tangling of your feet-roots, traveling along these connections to the place where you know we are all one. Spider - Dream Weaver Create a life that supports you and allows you expressive freedom. The spider uses its powerful silk to construct a web that is equal parts works of art and architectural marvel (not to mention the functional use of effortlessly catching an abundance of food). Their silk can stretch substantially without breaking, and each spider often creates different strands of web depending on the type of role it has been assigned (support beam, prey catcher, etc.)The spider's ability to create such intricate, useful, supportive, and decorative structures - often referencing perfect radial and spiral geometric patterns - is a testament to their dedication to their creative selves. The spider shows us that we are the creators of our destiny; that we have the power to influence our journey and manifest our dreams and desires through thorough planning, patience, and persistence. Spider guides us to rebuild the life we wish to live, and in turn, this will attract exactly what we need because we put our all into creating with pride.
If you were drawn to the set of Cards 2:
Starflower - Finding Grace Grace isn't something you keep for yourself. How can you let a little more grace into your life? Like Starflower, we all need to go fallow - time when we're nothing but seeds of potential lying dormant in the earth, when nothing is expected from us and we have no task but simply being. Most of us have such busy lives that we have to schedule everything, even our downtime. It's downtime that will allow you, like Starflower, to truly shine. Alpaca - Curiosity Contentment brings desire to learn or explore something new. Alpacas use their long necks to observe the world with curiosity and caution. Without their unique higher perspective, they would easily fall prey to predators like lions and bears. Having been bred into captivity predominately for their wool, alpacas are slightly different to llamas in that they are a bit more temperamental and harder to tame or convert into companion animals, but are still similar in many ways. These animals show us that by simply being present and at peace with our surroundings, we automatically open ourselves up to new possibilities, adventures, and creative explorations, allowing us to be truly available to life and what it has to offer.
If you chose the set of Cards 3:
Elderberry - Cyclicality Elderberry's yearly evolution teachers you to dance with the closely twined cycles of life, death, and rebirth. Wherever you are in your life, it reminds you that acceptance of life's cyclicality is the key to earning your spot at the garden's center. We march from birth to death, forgetful of the ancient wisdom of return. Living cyclically - with an awareness of the cycles that form the foundation of our existence - can change our perspective in profound ways. Choose a cycle to celebrate! Dragonfly - Imagination Seeking within unlocks out infinite potential. The dragonfly is a totem of transformation, adaptability, and dreams. Their colorful, delicate wings connects us with the beauty that is all around us and remind us to be grateful for what we already have in our lives. Dragonflies are fast, agile, and can hover in one position before moving quickly in any direction, thus showing us the abundance of opportunities and choices we have at our disposal if we;re willing to proceed differently to the way that we usually do. Using our imagination unlocks out potential to create a life filled with possibility, abundance, and creation. The dragonfly reminds us to stop worrying about the things we see on the surface and to realize this is simply a reflection of deeper issues at hand.
