Good day, soul friends! I can't believe we are already almost done with August. This year is flying by! In July I was so busy with getting ready for my move 1500 miles away from our hometown of Houston, that I hardly had time to breathe. I can't believe we are in our new home and have been here for almost 2 weeks already. Hoping today brings you a happy Full Moon in Pisces and that next week goes well as Mars ends it's Retrograde!

Today's guidance comes from the Ask Your Guides deck by Sonia Choquette. An oldie but goodie and I found it while packing up my collection.

If you selected Card 1:

Bravado/Warrior Guides Rebellion, liberation, courage, resistance Does everything inside you rebel against authority, making you want to scream, "You can't control me!"? If so, it's true. No one can control you unless you agree to it. The fact that you don't allow others to control you anymore as a sign of progress. It means that you're moving away from a world of dependency and are claiming your personal authority as a self-directed, conscious soul ready to take responsibility for yourself. Challenging the authority figures in your life is a necessary step in your growth. However, you must realize I'm not everyone or everything in your path is necessarily working against you. Ask your Warrior guides for the courage to challenge what a presses you and for the wisdom to know when to respect authority. Your Warrior Guides' message: "Stand up for what's important to you, and ask for it. However don't fight for its own sake. Respect the leadership and rights of others as well."

Truth/Higher Self Honesty, clarity, discipline, intellect Your higher self is present, activating your powers of reason and intellect. It asks you to develop clarity and objectivity when looking at your life, rather than interpreting events through the murky and distorted waters of emotion. Strive to see the reality of what happened in the past so that you can require a more accurate understanding of what's going on. You may notice things that make you uncomfortable or challenge your ethics. Ask your Higher Self to give you the courage to stand up for your truth and address difficult situations at their core, rather than distance yourself or pretend you don't see the real problems because they make you uncomfortable. Like the child in the fairy tale "The Emperor's New Clothes", your higher self is motivating you to not only see life more deeply, but also share your perception with those around you. This is the time, for example, to address your unbalanced budget and look for ways to cut corners. It's also the time to acknowledge your ever-expanding waistline and seek out what's really eating at you. This is when you need to step away from your emotions and dispassionately study the problems at hand so that you can come to a solution without blame and projection. Ask yourself what the problem is, not who the problem is. Only then can you begin to find real solutions with productive outcomes. Your Higher Self is sharpening your perception and clarifying your view so that you can make important and necessary changes at this time. As Carl Jung once said, "When the diagnosis is correct, the healing begins." And your Higher Self's message is "Look for the truth behind appearances."

New Beginnings/Divine Father Courage, desire, initiation, creativity The spark of life from your Divine Father is igniting your imagination, stirring your creative genius, and it is instilling in you a strong desire to bring about change. Now is the perfect time for you to act upon your impulses and initiate new beginnings, especially in those areas of your life that leave you presently dissatisfied. Trust your desire for change, and ask the Divine Father to give you the courage to initiate it. Commit to your unique new ideas, start writing that book you've been thinking about, hoping that business you've been secretly desiring for so long, or break the ice in a new relationship with someone you've held back from. The Divine Father encourages you to act in confidence. All the elements for your success are in place. Don't hesitate, don't think, and don't play it safe. Take a leap of faith and commit fully to what you really want. You're Divine Father's message: "Go for it! You can't fail."
