Dragon Oracle Cards by Diana Cooper

Hello, soul friends!

Today's review is covering a deck that caught my attention when I noticed it on Hay House's website. I couldn't find a lot of pictures or information online, so decided to risk it and buy them. The artwork was different and I didn't have another Dragon based oracle deck, so felt drawn to pick them up.

I hope you enjoy my review and generous pictures!

Dragon Oracle Cards

I purchased this deck from Hay House during one of their sales and bought it on a whim. I couldn't find a lot about it online, but was interested in the cards. It was first published in 2017.

Amazon's description is:

Dragons are beautiful, wise, open-hearted etheric beings of the angelic realms who are sent here by Source to help and assist us. They operate on a different vibrational frequency to us, which is why most people can't see them, but they are very willing to connect with us if we are ready to tune in to their wavelength. Their guidance can help us to clear lower energies, flow around challenging situations and inspire us in our life visions.

The 44 cards in this beautiful and unique deck will offer you advice about your daily life, your soul mission and how you can serve the planet. Also included is a guidebook which shows you how to conduct readings with the deck, reveals the in-depth meaning of each of the cards and explains the unique roles and energies of earth, air, fire and water Dragons.

As you work with these cards you will discover many ways in which the Dragons can support your life, assist your spiritual growth and illuminate your ascension path. Allow them to inspire and guide you!

My Personal Review

This 44-card deck is meant to be used as a daily inspirational conversation to have with yourself and oracle deck. This can in no way be confused for a tarot deck. I wasn't really aware of what to expect with this deck, so upon opening it up I was a bit intrigued by the messages and also the vibrant artwork. Although, I don't think I can use this deck in a practical reading, the messages are interesting.

The artwork was something that had called me with this deck, and I was not disappointed by the vibrant colors, the ethereal and fantasy based illustrations. I enjoy the interesting depictions of each of the dragons. As I am not typically too well-versed with dragons, this was an educational and interesting deck to add to my current collection. I have enjoyed the messages and also the information that was included in each of the cards.

The cards have brief messages, allowing one to take just a minute to think about the message. These are great for using your intuition, but also have a nice extended message with information on each of the dragons included in the guidebook. The guidebook is much like most Hay House products, and fits perfectly within the card deck box.

I found a lot of the messages to be very inclusive and also have nicely detailed messages that brighten up your day. The information that Diana added on each of the dragons is very detailed and also helpful in connecting to the energies. I have used the messages to help bring me some clarity, as well as giving my other cards a bit of a break. I enjoy the variety.

As you can see from my pictures, the cards have an image on one side with the card name, a nice message. The backs are a pretty image of a dragon breathing fire with a lot of spirals included. Not reversable, and not sure I would use a reversed meaning for these cards. The size of the cards is quite a bit larger than a traditional tarot card and the overall product dimensions: 5.5 x 4.1 x 1.2 inches and Hay House is who publishes the deck.

The card stock is thick, shiny, and allows you get a nice bend without cracking the card stock. The only issues I run into a lot of Hay House older decks, are the edges rubbing and cracking. They don't bend too much, or hold the bend. I am not a fan of shiny decks, so this one has points deducted based on that.

Overall, I think it is a unique deck to add in to your collection if you are seeking new methods to connect that aren't based on people, cultures, or other well-loved and often used symbolism. This is a refreshing and fun deck that has beautiful and vibrant artwork, fascinating card information and meanings. I think anyone can pick up this deck and start using it, and feel that it brings a different element to readings.

Overall, I found this to be an unusually surprisingly deck, but I didn't find that I could use it in my day to day work or with clients. Perhaps this is better suited as an affirmation type of deck to do daily work and healing, and not utilize as an oracle deck.

My overall opinion is that this deck is a 3 star choice.

Artwork - 5 stars

Card stock - 2 stars

Ease - 2 stars

Guidebook - 3 star

I hope that you enjoyed my deck review, and also enjoy other deck reviews that I add to this site. I have a passion for exploring new decks and also finding various ways of connecting to my intuition. I appreciate you checking out my site and taking the time to read my review.

Happy Reading!
