If you were drawn to Card 1:
The Chariot - Reversed - "Align your energy."
Have you been driving yourself too hard? It may be time to pull back and reflect upon yourself and your actions. Perhaps you have slipped into overdrive, restricting flow and working from a place of resistance and push. This card reversed may also represent that you are experiencing confusion and misaligned thoughts. Your thoughts may be darting from one place to the next, seeking a solution. It is time to come back within yourself and begin to explore what it is you desire. Practice attuning your energies to a feeling that is reflective of your being. From here, clarity and inner knowing will be able to lead you forward.
Reversed, the Chariot suggests that you are feeling as if you have very little control over your life. You may have lost steering power over the opposing forces and you are now at their mercy. You may feel dragged through time, in whatever direction fate takes you. If you are someone who likes to have some control over your destiny and to know where you are heading, this is the time to tighten the reins and become more disciplined and focused on what you are doing.
While the feeling of loss of power can be quite demoralizing, the key is to look at what you can control and what you cannot control. Do not allow yourself to be worried about what is out of your control as there is nothing you can do about it. Instead, focus your energies on what IS in your control. Examine what you can do to change the situation. At this stage, you need to be able to feel as if you have at least some direction, because currently you feel pushed and pulled around in the sea of fate. The Chariot requires you to assert yourself and be bold. You may need to look after yourself at this time and be confident in expressing your needs and wants, otherwise you will not get your way. You need to have faith in yourself and know fundamentally who you are and what you stand for. It can indicate that you need to take a hard look at where you are going and why. Don’t allow yourself to engage in movement just for the sake of movement. Purpose and direction is important at times.
If you selected Card 2:
King of Cups - "Master your inner and outer worlds."
Your emotional maturity, intuitive intelligence and calm stability is to be capitalized upon or cultivated. The King of Cups represent the balance between the head and the heart and the seen and unseen worlds. You he the ability to balance emotional and creative inspiration with logic and strategy. This enables you to be a true leader - creating and recognizing opportunity, as well as seeing the spiritual lesson within ever challenge. If you are being called to step up and lead - take this as your sign. You may recognize the qualities of the King of Cups within yourself or a male mentor fire witting your life and community. Strengths such as empathy, compassion and keen listening skills, coupled with emotional intelligence, business savvy, and wisdom gathered from lessons learnt, may be what you are being encouraged to harness within yourself. This can also be a very auspicious sign of a potential charming and charismatic matter, representative of lasting love and fidelity should you be opening yourself to love.
As such, the King of Cups indicates that you feel very emotionally balanced and in control. You have a very deep understanding of your feelings and emotions, and are able to connect with this when necessary. As you deal with some of the scenarios that life throws at you, draw on this deep emotional maturity to help you navigate these challenges. Also, know that this is an incredible gift you have and be open to sharing your emotional stability and calm approach with others.
If you are facing challenges, then this is an indication that you must create balance in the realm of the emotions. It represents compassion; one of the most powerful and beautiful qualities of the human spirit. Ask yourself, “How can I develop a stronger awareness of the unconscious without being overwhelmed by its power? How can I develop a stronger sense of compassion without falling into the trap of sentimentality? If you are being challenged personally, this suggests you will need to remain emotionally mature in dealing with the negative energy from others.
If you chose Card 3:
Eight of Pentacles - Reversed - "Honing your zone of genius."
The Eight of Pentacles reversed shows up to highlight that you are focusing too deeply on attention to detail, gently reminding you that perfection does not exist and that your focus on ensuring everything is just right, may in fact be inhibiting your expansion and growth. Take a moment to self inquire and ask what lies behind your need for perfection. This card may also indicate that you are distracted and not present with your tasks at hand. You are being called to center and realign yourself to ensure your hard work does into go to waste.
Often, the reversed Eight of Pentacles reversed suggests that you are working very hard on something but it is not leading to the desired outcome, leading to frustration and disappointment with the lack of success and progress. Sometimes, we can focus in on improving a part of ourselves or trying to fix something, only to find that all that effort is just going on the wrong things.
You may be honing in on minute details that are not important to the overall workings of your life. Instead, you need to look at the bigger picture and ask yourself whether this is the right direction for you at this time.
How can you bring your attention out of the detail and to the overall picture here? Are you working on the right things, or is there a major part that you are missing? Return to the energy of the Seven of Pentacles and re-prioritize and invest in those activities that will lead to the greatest return. There's been a deep shift within you. You are increasingly focusing your energies on becoming the expert in your field of skill and interest. This may also mean you're being internally guided to explore and learn different areas of your profession or branch out further into areas that require your dedicated time. This is the card of craftsmanship, where you are encouraged to commit fully to ventures that ignite your heart.
You may find your passion and interest levels see you withdraw slightly from family and friends as your integrate this new wave of energy and inspiration, making room for it within you life to allow it to grow.
