Spirit De La Lune Oracle
Hello, soul friends!
Today's review is covering a deck that had caught my attention as soon as I saw it! It's original concept of a complete moon phases oracle sent my heart into a frenzy. I pre-ordered as soon as I could. And waited for this beauty to arrive.
I hope you enjoy my review and generous pictures!
Spirit De La Lune Oracle
This atypical deck caught my attention as it was so different from other oracle decks I was using, and I thought it would give me a new way of focusing my readings on more of a Moon Phase or Moon-centric type of reading.
From the Spirit De La Lune Website:
The Moon is a cosmic filter for the cosmic energy that surrounds our Earth at all times. As she dances through the sky, she reflects back to us various energies and lessons.
This oracle set allows you to tap in to your own personal cycles and patterns on any given day using Lady Luna as your guide.
There are 56 cards of Lunar guidance including Full Moondalas, Zodiac Moondalas, and Moon phase cards to help you connect with the energies of the Luna!

My Personal Review
This is a 56 card Moon deck which covers the Moon Phases, Mandalas, and Zodiac Phase guidance. They are artistically unique cards. The first stand out attribute that they have is the circular shape. This is the only circular deck I have ever owned. The As I went through the deck the first time, I was taken aback by the beautiful artwork.
With mystical details and beautiful artwork, I really enjoyed this approach to a unique deck. It was a pricier deck for me, but it was one that I was excited to receive and was not disappointed when it finally arrived. The different card shape, the fun round tin, and big book chock full of amazing interpretations, reading spreads, and moon phase based intentions, I found it to be a great purchase. The font that was used on the cards was a bit difficult for me to read (although I just may have old lady eyes), but I think they changed it for the newer reprints of the deck. I love the colors, images, and artwork that were created for this deck.
The card stock is not super thick, but lacks the shinier finish that newer decks I have in my collection have, and also allows you get a nice bend without cracking the card stock. They do bend very easily. I also love that these beauties are great to take pictures of since they are a slight matte finish that doesn't take away from the beauty of the artwork. The only issue I ran into was my cards cracking around the edges, so I had to shuffle super gently, and pluck the cards out one at a time. I was a little sad to see some of the card edges fraying a bit on my deck.
As it was my first and only circular deck that I have owned to date, shuffling was a bit of an issue for me. Yes, although this deck striking and beautiful for photos, shuffling was not my favorite. I personally found it cumbersome and awkward, so I kind of did a funny half shuffle, half 56 card pick up thing to get them thoroughly shuffled. Not the most graceful way to shuffle, mind you, but you gotta do whatcha gotta do, amiright?
The backs of the deck were also as beautiful as the card images. Reversible and fluid throughout the deck. I love the magical galaxy theme, the moon and mandala all tied in to bring one of my favorite backs of a card deck ever. It is such a photogenic deck.
The authoresses did a fabulous job of adding some amazing magic and explanations to the deck, as well. Pictured here are some of the extra decks that assist you in understanding the symbolism, phases, and also beautiful intentions that work by Moon Phase.
The Guidebook on my edition did not fit nicely into the tin or come with an external box that holds it. I liked how large it was, as it did assist me in understanding how to maximize use of the deck with specific Moon Phase spreads, intentions to set, and explanations of the specific moon names. It was a well executed and thought-provoking guidebook, that I think really elevated the deck's usage. All in all, I recommend this deck to those who have an affinity for the moon and would like to explore this side of oracle cards.
And since this deck is so beautiful, here are a few more gratuitous shots of this gorgeous babe!
Overall, I found this to be an exceptionally well executed Indie Deck. I love the subtle changes they have made and how the cards come with a box and also the guidebook to fit within it for keeping them together. The artwork is unique, ethereal, and magical. The circular cards make it stand out, and I just love the amount of love that went into each card's image. I recommend this deck to any moon aficionado!
My overall opinion is that this deck is a 4 star choice.
Artwork - 5 stars
Card stock - 3 stars (although the newer prints may be a better quality)
Ease - 3.5 stars
Guidebook - 4 stars
I hope that you enjoyed my deck review, and also enjoy other deck reviews that I add to this site. I have a passion for exploring new decks and also finding various ways of connecting to my intuition. I appreciate you checking out my site and taking the time to read my review.
Happy Reading!
