Conscious Spirit Oracle by Kim Dreyer

Hello, soul friends!

Today's review is covering a deck that caught my attention for it's beautiful John Waterford and Van Gogh's art pieces and vintage collage feel. I loved the details, color, and overall theme of the cards. I couldn't wait to get my paws on it and work with this beauty.

I hope you enjoy my review and generous pictures!

Conscious Spirit Oracle

I purchased this deck at a local metaphysical shop, here in Houston, and just loved it. Got this as a birthday present to myself. Anyone else do that, too? Well, they had a sample deck to mess with, so it was nice to look through, get a feel for the cardstock, shuffle, and also look through the guidebook.

Amazon's Product Description:

She has created Conscious Spirit Oracle Deck to help guide others to a deeper level of consciousness and a more harmonious life. The deck introduces chakras, angels, and spirit guides as it awakens the spirit and rekindles the connection between the cosmos and the earth. About the Author
I am a fantasy artist and graphic designer who was born and raised in the diamond town of Kimberley, South Africa. Since a very young age art has been the driving force in my life. After spending over 16 years creating pottery and sculpture, I turned my creative talents to ‘wearable art’ with my crystal jewelery. Although I still create the occasional commissioned item of jewelery, my greatest joy now is to create whimsical fantasy and fairy paintings and uplifting, visionary, spiritual art and angel paintings. It is important to me that my creations are not only visually pleasing but are imbued with a sense of spirit, nature, and love, and touch the viewer on a deeper level. My own soul path is to live a more conscious life and to connect with Nature and Spirit in whatever ways I can. I currently live in the tranquil village of Montagu, South Africa where the surrounding mountains inspire my creative energies. My creative process is both intuitive and deeply meditative. I have always had a passionate interest in the supernatural, fantasy, and esoteric world as well as a deep love of nature. The idea of incorporating my artistic visions as well as my own inner spiritual journey inspired me to create Conscious Spirit Oracle Deck. Through this deck I hope others will find their own truth and unique spiritual path. My work is available online and through selected outlets worldwide. I am available for commissions for a variety of artwork, from soul portraits to book covers.

My Personal Review

This 44-card deck is meant to be used as an Oracle deck, which is just meant to be a little less restrictive than tarot, while allowing you to devise your own meanings of the cards, as well. The dimensions of the deck are 2.5 x 0.8 x 5.5 inches and published by U.S. Games Systems Inc.

The deck comes in a simple tuck box. The deck reflects universal themes and experiences yet also has a highly personal feel that is certain to give it broad appeal.

The cards can be grouped as follows:

  • Chakras (5-Root, 10-Sacral, 13-Solar Plexus, 17-Heart, 20-Throat, 24-Third Eye, 26-Crown)

  • Elementals (6-Earth, 14-Fire, 18-Air, 11-Water)

  • Archangels (9-Raphael, 16-Michael, 22-Gabriel)

  • Triple Goddess(19-A Nurturing Heart-Mother, 38-Forest Frolic-Maiden, 39-Flames of Wisdom-Crone)

  • Other Characters (8-The Healer, 25-Spirit Guides, 33-Sun Goddess, 34-Earth Angel, 35-Nature Spirits, 41-Moon Goddess)

  • Concepts/Messages: (1-Spirit Awareness, 2-Meditation, 3-Transformation, 4-Gratitude, 7-Sacred Space, 12-Reach Out, 15-Find Your Bliss, 21-Your Own Path, 23-The Present, 27-Spark of Divine, 28-Release, 29-Balance, 30-Reach for Your Dreams, 31-Embrace Change, 32-Movement Meditation, 36-Abundance, 37-Crystal Ascension, 40-At Day's End-Rest, 42-Wheel of Life, 43-Celebrate Life, 44-Integration

In her introduction, Dreyer states that this deck was created to honor, celebrate, and reconnect to Nature, Spirit, and the Divine Feminine in all her forms: the angel, fairy, goddess, the maiden, mother, and crone. The cards in this deck were arranged to take the reader on a sequential journey to help the reader to awaken and discover their own unique path.

The cards are meant to assist an individual in making lifestyle changes that bring them into alignment with their higher self. The cards are meant to gently share their wisdom with you, as well as the wisdom of the universe, allowing the reader to find their soul purpose.

The cards themselves are 3 ½” by 5 ¼”, with a matte finish. The backs shown Dreyer’s diverse background as a fantasy artist and graphic designer, with interests in the supernatural, fantasy, and esoteric, along with her love of nature. The card stock is not overly thick, semi-matte finish, slick to shuffle, and allows you get a nice bend without cracking the card stock. The finish really helps make the cards shuffle easily without sticking or scratching. This card stock has been one of my favorites that I have run into. I love the smooth and easy way this deck shuffles.

The colors are the colors of the chakra system (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and purple). The imagery includes the Tree of Life, the seven chakras, the moon cycles, and more. The card faces show a 1.4” beige border, with the card number and name across the top in black lettering against a yellow background, with an affirmation in the “voice” of card along the bottom, in the same black lettering against a yellow background. The images are beautifully done in pastels, with a fantasy look to them. Elemental symbols are placed in the four corners of each card.I love the imagery in this deck - the Fire Elemental show a female figure standing, with her arms outstretched, in a red dress. Flames are coming from her hands, flames surround the hem of her dress, and back light her head and upper body. The Archangel Gabriel shows a female figure, with blond hair, dressed in white, with white wings. In her right hand she carrier a bouquet of white flowers.

The size of the cards was an average oracle deck size. Not too large, and not too small. The 44 page guidebook is simple, but gives enough to encourage you to develop your own special meanings of the cards. It really does lead one to using their intuition and also diving into all of the details in the cards. This may not be the easiest to just pick up for those who are not used to having to rely too heavily on intuition, but with practice and an open mind, it can quickly become a gentle favorite. That being said, it is down to earth and very user friendly.

I recommend this to those of you who want a spiritual, feminine, uplifting oracle deck that is easy to read and understand. If you are on a “spiritual” path and want an oracle deck that reflects that, this may also be a great fit. If you are new to tapping into your Divine nature, or if this is something that interests you, then this deck may assist you with that. It is perfect for those that love new age, fantasy art.

The Conscious Spirit Oracle deck presents lavishly illustrated oracle cards infused with the beauty and inspiration of goddesses, divas and muses from fantasy art. The deck is rich in symbolic detail. This exquisite deck is filled with evocative insights and timeless feminine wisdom.

All in all, I enjoyed it a lot and have found it to be wonderful to use with clients, without hesitation, if the messages will be well-received. It is comforting, supportive, and also allows for subtle breakthroughs to be made without showing off. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves fantasy art, feminine wisdom, fairies, earth elemental magic, or new age guidance.

Here are some extra pictures of this fun creation:

Overall, I think this was a well-executed deck. Simple, but straight to the point. I actually sold my copy of the deck, as I was not using as much as I thought it needed to be used. This deck was a fun one to have in my collection.

My overall opinion is that this deck is a 3 star choice.

Artwork - 4 stars

Card stock - 3 stars

Ease - 3 stars

Guidebook - 2 stars
